Katana Roots: Your Foundation Game-Changer

Strong roots = strong plants. Katana Roots gets your grow moving from the bottom up. More roots mean more uptake, better vigour, and faster stacking later in the run. Pair it with Shogun Start for the ultimate early-growth combo — Katana drives roots while Start fuels shoots, giving your plants the best launch possible.

Why Healthy Plants Begin with Katana Roots

  • Explosive root growth — Cuttings strike faster, seedlings establish quicker, and roots spread strong through your medium.
  • Rapid take-off — Plants settle quicker after potting up, pushing through transplant shock.
  • Stress recovery — Helps plants bounce back from heat, overwatering, or rough handling.
  • Healthier root zone — Stronger roots mean better uptake and less chance of issues down the line.

The Science Behind Strong Roots

A healthy root zone is the foundation of every good grow. Katana Roots feeds roots with the stimulants they need to kick off fast, branch strong, and stay resilient. From early veg through to the first weeks of flower, it keeps your plants powering forward.

How Katana Roots Fuels Development
  • Boron and Biotin synergy — Sparks root initiation and drives elongation for dense, fast-spreading systems.
  • Seaweed power — Cold-pressed extract delivers natural hormones, B-vitamins, and amino acids to boost resilience.
  • Clean & stable — pH-neutral formula with no staining or spoilage keeps tanks fresh.
  • Proven speed — Visible root growth in as little as five days.
The Shogun Advantage
  • Independent 3rd Party Lab Tested — Every batch checked for quality and consistency.
  • Works across any setup — Soil, coco, or hydro — results stay solid.
  • Perfect partner for Shogun Start — Together, they build the strongest early foundation possible.

Water type: i

Are you using water straight from the tap, or R/O water?

"Hard" and "soft" are terms used to describe the quality of many water sources. Hard water has a high mineral content, which can cause hard, white lime scale to form on surfaces and growing equipment. Hard water may also have a high alkalinity and a high pH, meaning that considerably more acid is required to lower the pH in the hydroponic system to ideal levels. Soft water, by comparison, is a low mineral water source. Often rainwater is ‘soft’, while municipal water sources across the country range from very hard to soft, depending on where the individual city water supply is taken from. Other water types Some growers prefer to start with water which has been pre-treated to remove any chemicals, pathogens and other contaminates. RO (reverse osmosis), distilled water, filtered and bottled water are all options for small growing systems and those concerned with water quality. To understand your water type, simply immerse your EC/CF meter in your background water, read the display and select the applicable 'water type' or enter your own 'Custom' value.
