Precision Nutrition for Grow & Bloom

Samurai Hydro Grow and Samurai Hydro Bloom are Shogun’s refined two-part base nutrients; each tailored to its specific phase. Backed by SmartZen®, they turn standard hydro feeding into a performance system—driving vigorous growth in veg and powerful results in bloom.

Why Samurai Hydro Outperforms Standard Feeds

 • SmartZen® — the hidden engine inside Samurai Hydro — Unlocks greater photosynthesis, nutrient transport efficiency, and up to 8% increased yields versus baseline NPK formulas
 • Balanced hydro-specific formula — Delivers high-grade macro and micronutrients tailored for both vegetative and flowering stages in hydro setups
 • Plug-and-play with Shogun suite — Fully compatible with the entire line of Shogun additives for seamless feed regimes
 • Hard and soft water variants — Flexibility for different water profiles ensures accurate dosing and consistency across regions

SmartZen®: Built-In Bio-Stimulant Power

SmartZen® is Shogun’s exclusive bio-stimulant package, designed to give plants more than just nutrients. By stimulating natural plant processes, SmartZen helps crops:

Push yields further
Proven in independent trials to deliver up to 8% higher harvests compared to standard base feeds.

Maximise efficiency
Enhances nutrient uptake and use, ensuring plants get the most from every drop of feed.

Reduce stress impact
Supports resilience to heat, drought, and environmental fluctuations by strengthening key metabolic pathways.

Boost energy production
Increases chlorophyll and photosynthetic efficiency, keeping plants powering forward through the cycle.

SmartZen isn’t an add-on — it’s integrated into Samurai Hydro, giving growers a hidden edge that turns a strong base feed into a performance formula.

The Science Behind the Final Push

Samurai Hydro is a precision two-part feed built for hydro systems. Its exact nutrient ratios fuel rapid uptake in veg and bloom, keeping plants balanced at every stage. With SmartZen® biostimulant inside, photosynthesis runs harder, energy use is sharper, and yields push beyond standard A&B feeds. Hydro-specific chemistry means fewer deficiencies, stronger growth, and consistent results from start to finish.

Precision Nutrition That Delivers

Samurai Hydro isn’t just a base feed — its precision nutrition designed for hydro performance.

 • Bigger yields — SmartZen® biostimulant technology drives photosynthesis, energy use, and nutrient efficiency for measurable output gains.
 • Hydro accuracy — Balanced A&B formulation prevents lockouts and ensures consistent results in all hydro systems.
 • Stress resilience — Supports plants against environmental fluctuations and heavy demand during bloom.
 • Custom-fit stability — Hard and soft water options safeguard nutrient balance for any water profile.
 • Full-cycle strength — From early vegetative growth to peak flowering, Samurai Hydro keeps plants powering forward.
The Shogun Advantage
 • Research-led, grower-proven — Developed by Dr. Callie Seaman and trialled in real hydro systems for reliability.
 • Consistency you can trust — Independently tested to guarantee accurate formulation every batch.
 • Hydro-optimised performance — Designed specifically for hydroponic systems, from DWC to NFT, ebb & flow, and drip.
 • Seamless integration — Works flawlessly alongside the full Shogun range for a complete feeding programme.

Are you using water straight from the tap, or R/O water?

"Hard" and "soft" are terms used to describe the quality of many water sources. Hard water has a high mineral content, which can cause hard, white lime scale to form on surfaces and growing equipment. Hard water may also have a high alkalinity and a high pH, meaning that considerably more acid is required to lower the pH in the hydroponic system to ideal levels. Soft water, by comparison, is a low mineral water source. Often rainwater is ‘soft’, while municipal water sources across the country range from very hard to soft, depending on where the individual city water supply is taken from. Other water types Some growers prefer to start with water which has been pre-treated to remove any chemicals, pathogens and other contaminates. RO (reverse osmosis), distilled water, filtered and bottled water are all options for small growing systems and those concerned with water quality. To understand your water type, simply immerse your EC/CF meter in your background water, read the display and select the applicable 'water type' or enter your own 'Custom' value.

How aggressive do you require your schedule to be? Select Light, Standard or Heavy Feeding

The grow room environment strongly influences the water and nutrient uptake of your plants. Please select your feeding type from the information provided below.

Light feeding for grow rooms where the leaf temperature is consistently above 25°C and the relative humidity is below 50%.

Standard feeding for grow rooms where the leaf temperature is consistently below 25°C and the relative humidity is above 50%.

Heavy feeding for grow rooms with LEDs and/or for closed-looped grow rooms utilising 'active cooling' with the injection of CO2.
